MEET JOVVA

Jovva has worked alongside writers and producers who have worked with some big names in the industry, like EXO, BTS, and Chloe Bailey so we’re bound to get more bops out of this girl. She’s going to be dropping more music soon and is preparing to begin performing live so she can show all she has to offer.

Make sure to follow Jovva on Instagram and the various streaming services to keep up to date with all the new things coming for her!

Jovva is a singer songwriter from Toronto, Canada who was introduced to music at a young age taking classical piano and vocal lessons. She began to write her own lyrics  and even directed all of the vocal arrangements of her music. Her goal is to “merge alternative R&B, and indie to create a new kind of pop sound” and her debut single "More" captures that with the blend of catchy hooks and the alternative beats underneath.

Her Chinese Canadian heritage influences her songwriting with her experiences of being a 2nd generation kid and the struggles of growing up, while her musical influences include powerhouses like RAYE, Charlotte Cardin, and Jorja Smith. In her song “More” Jovva sings about the desire for attention and seeking more all while taking in all the experiences she has along the way. She expresses that she wants to see more and overall be more than what she once was. It’s a vibey tune that easily gets stuck in your head all while the lyrics speak to the everseeking, young hearts in all of us.
